Johnstown, OH
<< Back to Project List
Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc. has been commissioned to provide Master Planning and Conceptual Design Services to Johnstown United Methodist Church in Johnstown, Ohio. The existing property includes the church building that was originally constructed in 1903 and three existing residential structures southeast and southwest of the existing church building. The historic building church was originally designed by Frank Packard, a prominent architect in Central Ohio in the 1880's through the 1920's. Packard and his architectural partner Joseph Warren Yost created many significant, lasting buildings. The Project included Facilities Analysis, Programming and Master Planning for renovation and additions. Since drawings from the original building were not available, Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc. field measured the building and created accurate floor plan drawings of the existing conditions.

The Conceptual Design process included a Design Charrette, an interactive design brainstorming workshop with members of the congregation, that focused on creating and evaluating design options for the Master Plan. The Master Plan included two phases of construction to create new offices, classrooms, fellowship hall, kitchen, restrooms and elevator.
