INNISWOOD PAVILION
Westerville, OH
<< Back to Project List
Located at the edge of the lower meadow in Inniswood Metro Gardens, this pavilion is designed to accommodate various educational programs, presentations and musical performances. The pavilion was designed in response to various garden structures throughout the 121-acre scenic nature preserve. The honest expression of the structure including the piers, the paired wood columns, the wood beams and the simple, pitched roof plane add to the gardenesque qualities of the pavilion. The stone base of the storage elements within the pavilion relates to the adjacent stone bridge which is visible beyond. The pavilion is designed to expand by adding two additional bays of structure and extending the sloped roof.
