PRIVATE RESIDENCE
Columbus, OH
<< Back to Project List
A local developer engaged Rogers Krajnak Architects to design a urban-infill, spec house in the Schumacher Place neighborhood in Columbus. The narrow, 29’ wide site presented a challenge to our design team. The directive from the developer-client was that the home should be extremely economical and also be attractive to young couples. The exterior of the home was designed to relate contextually with other houses in this historic neighborhood. The interior of the home is modern, open, and filled with natural light. The highlight of the home is the open-plan first floor which includes the Family Room, Kitchen, and Dining Room. This 2,600 square foot home includes 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, and a partially finished basement. A two-car detached Garage is located at the rear of the site. The space between the rear of the home and the Garage includes a patio and deck for outdoor living.
