Hilliard United Methodist Church Master Plan
Hilliard, OH
<< Back to Project List
In order to accommodate the growth in the church’s programs, Hilliard United Methodist Church commissioned Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc. to prepare a Facilities Analysis, Programming and Master Plan. The church has two major facilities, a fifty-year old 26,000 square foot Sanctuary building and a 28,000 square foot Christian Life Center located in a former grocery store. Both facilities share an expansive parking lot.

The Sanctuary building is prominently located on a corner lot of at the busy intersection of Main Street and Scioto Darby Road. Since a future road improvement project will eliminate the front drive to the Sanctuary building, the master Plan includes a new covered drop-off and expanded entry lobby adjacent to the main parking lot. From this new “front door” for the Sanctuary, a landscaped path will extend across the parking lot to a new “front door” for the Christian Life Center.

The work in the Sanctuary building includes the 180-degree reorienting of the Sanctuary within the existing brick walls, a new chapel, new elevator, accessible restrooms, office, and classroom renovations. Renovations in the Christian Life Center include an expanded Worship Center, additional offices, classrooms, activity room, community room and accessible restrooms.
