    Rogers Krajnak Architects Wins Award from Ohio Parks & Recreation Association

The Inniswood Pavilion, designed by Rogers Krajnak Architects for Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks, earned an Ohio Parks and Recreation Association 2010 Award of Excellence.  The project won second place in the $0 - $2,500,000 Facility category.  Peter Krajnak accepted the award at the 2011 OPRA Conference and trade Show in Cincinnati and is shown here presenting it to Anne Simpson and Steve Brown of Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks.

       
    RKA project wins Platinum Reconstruction Award from Building Design + Construction Magazine
October 2010

In their October issue, Building Design & Construction Magazine announced that Rogers Krajnak Architects' renovation of Mid-Ohio Foodbank's new facility won Platinum, the highest possible designation, as part of the national publication's 27th annual Reconstruction Awards program. The BD+C Reconstruction Awards are established to identify "the best reconstructed, renovated, or remodeled projects, based on overall design, engineering and project quality."

    RKA receives 2009 Ohio Parks and Recreation Award of Excellence
November 2009

The Ohio Parks and Recreation Association has awarded Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc. and the Columbus Department of Recreation and Parks with a 2009 Award of Excellence for the renovation and expansion of the Whetstone Community Center in Clintonville. The project won a first place "Superior" ranking in its category.
       
    RKA project wins Ohio Preservation Office's Preservation Merit Award
October 2009

The Ohio Historical Society's Ohio Preservation Office presented Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc. with a Preservation Merit Award for the Broad Street United Methodist Church Broad Street United Methodist Church stone replacement and restoration project.
       
    RKA project recognized by the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio for Craftsmanship Award
September 2009

Mark Mead's work on the Broad Street United Methodist Church stone replacement and restoration project was honored with a BX Craftsmanship Award.
       
    M.J. Design Associates Office named Building of the Year by National Framebuilders Association
February 2009 NFBA Expo -Nashville, TN

Judged against other entries from across the country for qualities such as innovation, design, and creative use of materials, the National Framebuilders Association awarded the M.J. Design Associates Office first place in the category for Post-Frame Commercial Building under 5,000 square feet in its annual Building of the Year Contest.
       
    RKA project recognized by Discovery District for Outstanding Aesthetic Contribution
November 2008

Broad Street United Methodist Church was honored with the Outstanding Aesthetic Contribution Award at the Discovery Special Improvement District 2008 Annual Meeting.  The Discovery SID recognized the church for their notable contribution within the Discovery District related to the stone replacement and restoration project.
       
    Mike Schulte receives Downtown Achievement Award

Mike Schulte received a Downtown Achievement Award from Downtown Lima, Inc. for his contributions to downtown Lima, Ohio on November 13th at Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center. Mike lead a design charrette and created a book that presented planning concepts for the future of downtown Lima, Ohio. The charrette examined ways to improve the quality of life, community, and economy of downtown Lima.

The AIA Guide to Columbus, by by Jeffrey T. Darbee and Nancy A. Recchie, highlights significant architecture projects in the Columbus area. The book features two projects completed by Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc.; Trinity Episcopal Church and Broad Street Presbyterian Church.
